ARTIST STATEMENT
私の作品は、原初の自然の姿やエネルギーを視覚化し、自分を通して人間の魂とその力を再認識しようとするものです。
人は自然または宇宙から生まれたものとして存在していて、自然のエネルギーと呼応しつつ相互に影響しあっている人が放つエネルギーを自然現象のひとつととらえています。
自然と人と人が造り出す人工物がこの地球上で影響し合い、それらが混ざりあっているわたしたちの世界を描いています。
私にとって作品を制作することは、自然と人の精神性やエネルギーを無限の表現方法がある美術で表現をしてみたい思ったからです。
木々や空を眺め、風を感じて空気を吸い込んだ時や人々のエネルギーを感じた時、自分の内面に 湧き上がる壮大な感覚があって、それは自分がずっと遠く空の彼方へ飛んで行き、また帰って くるような感覚を伴います。それが自分の中で消化され、ある形になってキャンバスに 落とし込められます。さらにその描いた画面と自然から受けた内面のエネルギーが呼応して 混ざり合って次の形が画面に現れます。
自分のエネルギーと日常目にするものや、記憶のイメージが簡略化された形になり、 集合体となって作品になっています。
過去現在、自然の中で目にした風景の中の木々や花、筆記をする日本語や英語の文字、公園緑地計画図の線などが、キャンバスに反映される形のインスピレーションとなっていると思います。筆遣いや筆跡は私が制作する際のリズムの役割をしています。
素材は、油彩、アクリル絵具、カラーペンで色を重ねたドローイングや、作品を布に印刷して立体縫製をして人のエネルギーの集合体を表現する着衣作品を制作することもあります。 素材を重ねてレイヤーを作ることで、折り重なる自然や人間のエネルギーを表現します。
色を使うことは、ものごと多面で見たときに連想されるさまざまな感情を表すことにつながります。 色の組み合わせが見せてくる感覚や感情は人間の相互関係がもたらすさまざまな関係と似た意味合いを持つような気がします。人も色も、組み合わせによってそれぞれの関係や空気感が変化すると思います。
画面に現れる記号的な形は人の魂を表現し、形が重なり合った部分は、人間の魂の一部が触れ合い重なった部分でコミュニケーションしていることを表しています。無数の色の組み合わせが調和するポイントを探りながら描いていきます。色を和えていく感覚で_制作を進めます。
自然に触れてエネルギーを感じることと、人類の歴史文化や社会的場面を感じながら、人の感情、心理的側面や相互関係を感じていることが作品を作る上で大切な要素になっています。 そして内にある前向きでユーモアのあるコミュニケーションで作品を彩ることが、私が作品を制作するときの原動力になっています。
ARTIST STATEMENT
Through my art, I seek to visualize the primordial form and energy of nature, and through this process, to rediscover the human soul and its power.
I view humans as beings born of nature or the universe, resonating with the energy of nature and interacting with one another; I regard the energy emitted by people as a natural phenomenon.
I depict our world, where nature, people, and the man-made objects they create influence one another and blend together.
For me, creating art stems from a desire to express the spirituality and energy of nature and humanity in a visual medium which offers infinite means of expression.
When I gaze at the trees and the sky, I feel the wind and breathe in the air-or when I sense the energy of others-a magnificent sensation wells up within me.
It is accompanied by the feeling of flying far away into the distant sky and then returning. This sensation is processed within me, takes shape, and is transferred onto the canvas.
The resulting painted image resonates with the inner energy I received from nature, blending to bring forth the next form on the canvas.
My own energy, the things I see in daily life, and images from my memory are simplified and come together as a collective to form the artwork.
I believe that the trees and flowers I've seen in natural landscapes both past and present as well as handwritten Japanese and English characters and the lines in park and green space plans, serve as inspiration for the forms reflected on the canvas. My brushwork and handwriting play the role of rhythm in my creative process.
My materials include oil paints, acrylics, and drawings created by layering colors with colored pens. I also create wearable artworks by printing my designs onto fabric and sewing them into three dimensional garments to express a collective of human energy. By layering materials to create depth, I express the overlapping energies of nature and humanity.
Using color allows me to express the various emotions evoked when viewing things from multiple perspectives.
I feel that the sensations and emotions evoked by color combinations carry meanings like the diverse relationships arising from human interactions. I believe that both people and colors undergo changes in their relationships and atmospheres depending on how they are combined.
The symbolic forms that appear on the canvas represent the human soul, and the areas where these forms overlap signify the points where parts of the human soul touch and intertwine, communicating with one another.
Feeling energy through contact with nature, while also sensing human history, culture, and social contexts, and attuning to human emotions, psychological aspects, and interpersonal relationships-these are essential elements in my creative process.
I also infuse my work with the positive and humorous communication that resides within me. It serves as the driving force behind my artistic expression.
